On my way back from Philly (where I was covering an event), I encountered not only construction and a two-lane car accident, but the highway was actually closed as well. Forty-five minutes of stop-and-go traffic and I find myself moving to some unknown exit and onto a random road along the Pennsylvania/New Jersey border. What should have taken an hour and 15 minutes took two and a half hours.

There was one entertaining part of my long-ass drive: graffiti that read, "Tampons contain fiberglass."

How Do You Spell Loser?

Bursting into tears, eighth-grader Anurag Kashyap of California became the U.S. spelling champ Thursday, beating 272 other spellers in a tough two days of competition. He said he felt "just pure happiness."

It's endearing and frightening at the same time.
